Changing Lives One Book At A Time! ![]() OUR MISSION Many state and federal prisons lack the funding for proper and new reading materials for inmates. Moreover, most justice-impacted individuals cannot afford to purchase books or legal resources which are needed for rehabilitation and to challenge one’s conviction. P.A.L.S. (Prisoner Advocacy Literary Services) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to amplifying the voices and transforming the futures of incarcerated individuals—specifically those who are non-violent, actually innocent, or rehabilitated, yet still trapped by unjust and extraordinarily long sentences.
We believe in the restorative power of education, the importance of fair legal representation, and the potential of every human being to rewrite their story.
"We are a country that believes in second chances. At least we say that we do. It is possible to challenge our propensity to punish. It is possible to have mercy."
We envision a society where every incarcerated individual—especially those who are non-violent, actually innocent, or rehabilitated—is given a fair chance at justice, education, and opportunity. At P.A.L.S., we believe in a future where the prison walls no longer silence potential, and where every justice-impacted individual is empowered to rewrite their story.
Through bold advocacy, access to life-changing resources, and the transformative power of literature and learning, we aim to dismantle cycles of incarceration and build pathways to purpose, freedom, and lasting change.
"We see you. We fight for you. We believe in what’s possible."
